About Me

I have successfully written and ghostwritten full-length manuscripts as well as eBooks, educational curriculum, articles, technical manuals, business materials, and more. I’ve worked with Olympians, professional athletes, corporate presidents, non-profit organizations, schools, professionals, pastors, and small business owners.

Bio - Where I’m From

I have been a professional writer for more than 20 years. I have a Master’s degree in Technology and Instruction and am working toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been writing curriculum for digital, print, and in-person delivery for private companies and schools since 1996.


I grew up doing gymnastics. I trained for USA Gymnastics and went to Penn State on a full gymnastic scholarship. I love the sport and am honored to be a Nittany Lion alumna.


I relish helping people learn the power behind words. I use my writing skills to guide authors to produce really great books that people read and talk about afterward. I coach, edit, interview, write, plan, and then edit some more. Making books shine more brightly brings me joy.

At a recent workshop I was asked, “What makes you special?” You may be wondering the same thing: “Why bring Kimberly to our event to speak, teach, or lead a workshop?”


I bring my relevant experience as an educator, author, writing coach, former elite athlete, autism mom, Navy mom, wife, Christian, breast cancer survivor, corporate executive, ghostwriter, and a human being seeking to bring kindness to the world.

Editing

There are too many self-published books out there that have a great concept but are poorly written. Anyone can publish a book in this amazing time we live in. Don't make the mistake of publishing without having your manuscript professionally edited.


Types of work I edit: full-length manuscripts, marketing materials (including websites), technical manuals, teaching materials, doctoral dissertations, presentations, scripts, poetry, business correspondence.


Basic Editing includes proofreading for spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency, proper vocabulary usage, redundancies, and overall readability.


Advanced Editing includes basic editing PLUS I will provide you feedback and suggestions regarding the overall organization of your manuscript, sentence and paragraph structure analysis, style, and voice.


The price depends on the length of the work.

I will review the manuscript prior to quoting.


Manuscript Formatting

If you plan to self-publish your work, having it professionally formatted will give it that extra touch of originality that will set it apart from the others.


Yes, you can use the auto-formatting services through your self-publishing company; however, you will find that special touches like unique chapter title pages, addition of icons or images, alternating right-left page aesthetics, special front matter, or other add-ons are not possible or costly.


I can format your book to the print size needed for publishing. I can also format for eBook publishing. It will feel personal, it will be professional, and it will be something you are proud of.


Pricing for formatting depends on the length of the work and customization required. I can do interior only or interior and exterior (cover and book back).



Ghostwriting

Authors and Small Businesses in North America and globally rely on my writing services to get their message out there.

Ghostwriting Services means that I do the writing work, but your name goes on the end product as the author.


There are different ways this can happen:

  • You have ideas sketched out loosely for a book, and I shape them into a coherent end product.
  • You have a great idea not yet on paper, I take you through an intensive interview process, and I write the complete manuscript with your name published as the author.
  • You have a website, television/YouTube series, or other publication and you need recurring articles, blog posts, or scripts on a specific topic, theme, or content area.
  • You need content created for marketing materials, company website, brochures, or other printed work (hardcopy or digitally) and you need someone to write the copy.
  • You need the text for a radio or web-based ad written
  • You have a book or story and need it converted to a script


Presenting your unique message in a simple, yet compelling, way is a skill not everyone has. I strive to maintain your unique voice and tone as I create your material.

Publishing

Touch Publishing Services is a publishing company owned and operated by me and my husband.


We are a cross between a self-publishing company and a corporate publisher. As a small business, we understand that some people do not want to learn how to self-publish through Amazon or another route. We will work with you to bring your book to print.


To be clear, you will always maintain the copyright and content ownership of your work! We provide the service of maintaining the relationship with the distributor so that your book will be available for order through all major online book retailers, and you can order copies for your own use through us for a reduced cost.
